If you turned your camera towards Sandgate from this spot you would see my old house in Wellington Place. (My Dad used to own the left-hand half of the big white house on the corner of Wellington Place viewable from the seafront when you look up the hill.) There used to be another 3-story house alongside ours which had a fantastic grape vine growing in the back garden - now has 3 houses on the same site.
